Exploring the language of music.

density

How many notes sound at once or in quick succession. How full it feels.

How much is sounding at once, or in quick succession: how full or sparse the music feels at a given moment. High density is many notes stacked and fast; low density is space and air. It is a dial you automate across an arrangement, not a fixed property of a part.
