The_sky

This ia a small c program that I wrote with the help of the book Tiny C Programs. The author demonstrtes an algorithm that returns the current phase of the moon and states he has no idea how it works. He just thought it was neat, presented it, and moved on. I have issue with wanting to understand every little piece of a softare that I write, and this was just a good reminder that sometimes you don’t have to. Most problems are solved and it is silly to act otherwise. So, I set out in search of more equations I don’t understand! I found “Keplerian Elements for Approximate Positions of the Major Planets”. I made a little app to display the results in the console using ncurses, which in and of itself was a neat learning experience.
